Instructions:

- Use the appropriate wrench or socket to loosen and remove the old sender. Place a rag beneath the area to catch any light oil drips.
- Clean the sender mounting hole threads with a rag. Apply a small amount of thread sealant or wrap PTFE tape on the new sender's threads following the sealant manufacturer's directions.
- Thread the new sender into the block by hand to avoid cross-threading, then tighten with a wrench until snug. Do not over-torque—tighten to a firm, seated feel.
- Reconnect the single-blade electrical connector to the new sender, ensuring a secure fit.
- Reconnect the negative battery terminal, start the engine, and observe the oil pressure gauge for proper operation and any signs of leaks at the sender.
- If no leaks are present and the gauge responds normally, turn off the engine and re-check that the connector is secure. Lower the vehicle if it was raised.
