This direct-fit lower left door hinge is engineered for 1966-1967 Camaro, Firebird and other A‑Body vehicles to restore proper door alignment and secure attachment. It replaces worn or sagging hinges to improve door gaps, reduce wind noise, and ensure smooth opening and closing. Constructed from heavy-duty steel with a corrosion-resistant finish, the hinge provides reliable durability for restoration or maintenance projects while offering an easy bolt-on installation that matches original mounting points.
Features:
  • Fitment: 1966-1967 Chevrolet Camaro, Pontiac Firebird and A-Body models (lower left door hinge).
  • Heavy-duty stamped steel construction for long-lasting strength and durability.
  • Corrosion-resistant finish helps protect against rust during restoration and daily use.
  • Direct-fit replacement that matches OE mounting points for simple installation and proper alignment.
  • Restores door gaps, reduces sag and wind noise, and improves latch engagement.
  • Ideal for restoration and maintenance projects on classic A-Body cars.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Suggested Tools:
  • Socket set and ratchet
  • Combination wrenches
  • Torque wrench (recommended)
  • Floor jack or door support and wood block
  • Screwdrivers
  • Pliers
  • Grease or lubricant
  • Masking tape
Instructions:
  1. Park vehicle on level ground and open the door. Place masking tape on adjacent paint to protect finish.
  2. Support the door with a floor jack and a wood block under the inner sill or use a dedicated door support to take weight off the hinge.
  3. Remove interior door trim or access panels if needed to reach hinge bolts.
  4. Loosen and remove the lower hinge bolts attaching the hinge to the door and body. Keep track of any original hardware and bushings.
  5. Remove the old hinge and clean the mounting surfaces of dirt and corrosion.
  6. Position the new hinge on the mounting points. Start bolts by hand to ensure correct thread engagement.
  7. With bolts started, leave them slightly loose and adjust the door for proper vertical and lateral alignment so gaps are even and the latch engages smoothly.
  8. Tighten hinge bolts to factory torque specifications or snugly with a torque wrench. Recheck door alignment and make final adjustments as needed.
  9. Apply grease or lubricant to hinge pivot points for smooth operation.
  10. Reinstall any interior trim or access panels and remove door support. Operate the door several times to confirm smooth, secure function.
