A complete screw set engineered to securely fasten the inner windshield molding on 1954-1955 Chevrolet and GMC trucks. These replacement screws restore proper fit and alignment of the windshield trim, preventing vibration, wind noise, and molding movement while maintaining a factory-correct appearance. Built for durability and ease of installation, the set is ideal for restoration projects and routine maintenance to replace worn, corroded, or missing fasteners.
Features:
  • Fits 1954-1955 Chevrolet and GMC trucks — inner windshield molding application.
  • Corrosion-resistant finish for long-lasting protection against rust and weathering.
  • Correct lengths and head styles for a factory-fit installation and clean appearance.
  • Secures trim to reduce vibration and wind noise while maintaining proper molding alignment.
  • Easy, direct-replacement hardware for restorations or routine windshield trim maintenance.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 15-30 minutes
Suggested Tools:
  • Phillips screwdriver (#2)
  • Trim removal tool or plastic pry tool
  • Clean rag
  • Small magnet or tweezers (optional)
  • Thread locker (optional, medium strength)
Instructions:
  1. Park vehicle on a level surface and protect surrounding trim and paint with a rag or tape.
  2. Carefully remove the windshield molding or loosen it enough to access the inner screw holes using a trim tool to avoid denting the trim.
  3. Remove old or damaged screws and clean the screw holes and surrounding area to remove rust, dirt, or sealant.
  4. Position the inner windshield molding into its correct location and align holes with the windshield frame.
  5. Install the replacement screws by hand to avoid cross-threading, then tighten with a Phillips screwdriver until snug—do not overtighten to prevent stripping or deforming the molding.
  6. If desired, apply a small amount of medium-strength thread locker to screws in areas prone to vibration.
  7. Re-seat any outer trim and inspect the molding gap and fit along the windshield. Make final adjustments if necessary.
