Instructions:
- Open the hood and prop it securely.
- Locate the existing hood stop locations. Remove the old rubber stoppers by pulling them off the studs or unthreading them with pliers/wrench as applicable.
- Clean the stud or mounting area with a rag; remove debris, grease, or rust. Apply a light lubricant if the fit is tight.
- Install each new rubber stopper by pushing it firmly onto the hood bumper stud until fully seated, or thread it onto the stud if the replacement is a threaded type.
- With all four stoppers installed, slowly lower the hood and check for even spacing and contact. If adjustable, raise or lower the bumper height by turning or repositioning until the hood sits level and closes without binding.
- Open and close the hood several times to confirm fit, and make small adjustments as needed until vibration and rattles are reduced and alignment is correct.
