Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, set parking brake and disconnect battery for safety.
- Remove the fan and existing shroud or loosen as needed to access mounting locations per vehicle service procedure.
- Test-fit the extension brackets against the radiator/shroud mounting flange to establish correct alignment. Mark any new hole locations if necessary.
- If new holes are required in the plastic shroud or mounting flange, center-punch and drill pilot holes to the size recommended for the included T-nuts.
- Insert T-nuts into the shroud from the rear side and tap them flush with a hammer or mallet so the prongs engage the material securely.
- Position the mounting bracket or extension and install the supplied bolts through the bracket into the T-nuts. Start all fasteners by hand to ensure proper alignment.
- Tighten hardware evenly and progressively. Torque to a snug setting—avoid over-tightening (approximately 8–12 ft-lbs as a guideline) to prevent crushing plastic components.
- Reinstall the fan and any previously removed components. Rotate the fan by hand to confirm adequate clearance and that there is no rubbing.
- Reconnect the battery, run the engine, and verify secure mounting, quiet operation, and proper airflow.
