  • Durable contact materials and corrosion-resistant terminals for long service life.
  • OEM-style fit and mounting for easy swap-in during restorations or repairs.
  • Simple plug-and-play wiring with reliable mechanical engagement to reduce intermittent faults.
  • Improves vehicle safety and reliability by restoring consistent turn-signal and column functions.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 3/5
  • Estimated time: 45-90 minutes
Suggested Tools:
  • Socket set and ratchet
  • Steering wheel puller
  • Screwdrivers (Phillips and flathead)
  • Torx bits (if applicable)
  • Needle-nose pliers or snap-ring pliers
  • Dielectric grease
  • Multimeter (optional for testing)
Instructions:
  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent accidental horn or airbag deployment and electrical shorts.
  2. Mark the steering wheel position relative to the shaft, remove the horn button or center cap, then loosen and remove the steering wheel retaining nut and use a steering wheel puller to remove the wheel.
  3. Remove the upper and lower steering column shrouds by removing retaining screws to expose the turn signal switch assembly.
  4. Document or photograph wire positions, then disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the existing turn signal switch.
  5. Remove the mounting screws or clips securing the turn signal switch and carefully withdraw the old switch from the column housing.
  6. Compare the new switch to the old unit, apply a small amount of dielectric grease to terminals, position the new switch into the column, and secure it with the original fasteners.
  7. Reconnect the wiring harness using the documented wire positions or photos, ensuring connectors are fully seated.
  8. Before full reassembly, reconnect the battery and test turn signals, hazard lights, horn, and tilt operation to confirm proper function.
  9. If tests are successful, reinstall the steering wheel (aligning marks), tighten the retaining nut to factory torque, reattach the horn button/center cap, and reinstall the column shrouds.
  10. Perform a final test of all column functions and road-test to confirm signal canceling and reliability.
