Replacement door glass channel guide roller nut for 1969–1982 Chevrolet Corvette. This part secures the guide roller to the window regulator/channel assembly, keeping the glass aligned and preventing binding, rattles, or premature wear. Made from durable, corrosion-resistant metal with a precision fit for original-style installation, it restores proper window tracking and reliable operation. Ideal for restoration projects or routine maintenance, the nut provides long-lasting performance and straightforward installation to get your power or manual windows working smoothly again.
Features:
  • Fits 1969–1982 Chevrolet Corvette (door glass channel guide roller nut application).
  • Precision-fit replacement to secure the guide roller to the window regulator/channel.
  • Durable, corrosion-resistant metal construction for long service life.
  • Prevents window binding, reduces vibration and rattle, and restores proper alignment.
  • Easy installation for restoration or maintenance—OEM-style fit and function.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 3/5
  • Estimated time: 45-90 minutes per door
Suggested Tools:
  • Phillips and flathead screwdrivers
  • Socket set or nut driver
  • Trim panel removal tool
  • Pliers
  • Masking tape or suction cup to support glass
  • Shop rag and lubricant (white lithium or silicone spray)
  • Work gloves
Instructions:
  1. Disconnect the vehicle battery if working near power window components (safety first).
  2. Remove the door trim panel: remove screws, pry off trim clips with a trim tool, and lift the panel away carefully.
  3. Peel back the water/vapor barrier to expose the interior of the door and regulator area.
  4. Lower or raise the window so the guide roller and nut are accessible through the access holes. Support the glass with masking tape or a suction cup to prevent it from falling.
  5. Inspect the guide roller assembly. Hold the roller steady and remove the old nut using an appropriate socket or nut driver.
  6. Clean the shaft and surrounding area. Apply a light coat of lubricant to moving surfaces if needed.
  7. Thread the replacement nut onto the guide roller shaft and tighten snugly by hand, then finish with the socket/nut driver—do not overtighten. Ensure the roller spins freely and the channel is properly seated.
  8. Cycle the window slowly to check for smooth travel and correct alignment. Make any minor adjustments to the channel or roller position as necessary.
  9. Reinstall the water/vapor barrier and door trim panel, secure all screws and clips, and reconnect the battery if disconnected.
  10. Perform a final test of window operation to confirm quiet, smooth movement and that no binding or excessive play remains.
