- Adjustable mirror glass reduces vibration and improves rearward visibility for safer driving.
- Designed to restore original appearance and function during truck restorations or routine maintenance.
- Easy-to-install design works with existing door hardware and mounting holes for a straightforward swap.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-45 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and disconnect negative battery terminal if applicable for safety.
- Remove interior door trim or access panel to expose the mirror mounting nuts. Use a trim tool to avoid damaging clips.
- Have an assistant hold the exterior mirror to prevent it from falling, or use masking tape to support it from the outside.
- Loosen and remove the mounting nuts/bolts securing the old mirror from inside the door. Carefully pull the mirror away from the door, detaching any gasket or backing as needed.
- Clean the mounting surface on the door of old gasket material, dirt, and corrosion. Ensure the surface is dry and smooth for a good seal.
- Position the new mirror assembly and gasket against the door, aligning the studs with the factory holes. Feed the studs through the door from the exterior.
- From inside the door, thread the mounting nuts onto the studs and hand-tighten to hold the mirror in place. Verify mirror alignment and position before final tightening.
- Tighten the mounting nuts to a snug, even torque (avoid overtightening to prevent distortion). If available, use a torque wrench to match factory specifications.
- Adjust the mirror glass for proper visibility, then reattach the interior trim or access panel and any removed hardware.
- Clean the mirror and surrounding area, reconnect the battery if disconnected, and test mirror stability and adjustability before driving.
