Instructions:
- Lower the window and remove the interior door panel: remove screws and pry off trim clips using a trim tool to expose the handle hardware.
- Disconnect the door handle linkage: locate and detach the retaining clip or pin connecting the handle rod to the latch with needle-nose pliers.
- Remove the old handle: unscrew or unbolt the handle retaining nuts/bolts from the inside of the door and carefully pull the handle out from the exterior.
- Prepare the new handle: verify orientation (right-hand) and fit; transfer any gaskets or rubber seals from the old handle or install new gasket if supplied.
- Install the new handle: insert the handle into the door from the exterior, align mounting studs, and fasten the retaining nuts/bolts snugly from the inside without over-tightening.
- Reconnect the linkage: attach the latch rod and secure with the retaining clip or pin; ensure the rod moves freely and engages the handle.
- Test operation: cycle the handle several times with the door open to verify smooth operation and proper latch engagement; adjust linkage if necessary.
