Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, set parking brake and wear safety gear. Disconnect the negative (ground) battery cable first, then the positive cable.
- Remove the battery from the tray and set it in a safe, supported location or on a battery cradle/jack.
- Remove the hold-down clamp and unbolt the existing battery tray and support bracket. Retain any reusable hardware if undamaged; discard severely corroded parts.
- Clean the tray mounting area and battery tray contact surfaces with a wire brush or emery cloth to remove rust and debris.
- Test-fit the new tray assembly and support to ensure proper position and alignment with factory mounting holes.
- Apply a light coat of anti-seize or rust inhibitor to the mounting bolts (optional), then secure the tray and support using the supplied or appropriate hardware. Tighten bolts evenly until the tray is firmly seated.
- Reinstall the battery, mount the hold-down clamp, and reconnect the battery cables (positive first, then negative). Ensure terminals are clean and tight.
