This comprehensive kit includes an idler arm plus all essential steering and front suspension components needed to replace worn parts, improve handling, and extend service life.   • Ball joint separator / pickle fork
  • Pliers
  • Hammer
  • Pry bar
  • Grease gun (if applicable)
  • Wheel chocks
  • Alignment equipment or access to alignment shop
Instructions:
  1. Park vehicle on level surface, set parking brake, chock rear wheels, and loosen front lug nuts.
  2. Raise front of vehicle with floor jack and support securely on jack stands. Remove front wheels.
  3. Inspect and note orientation of existing components, then remove any retaining clips or cotter pins from tie rods and ball joints.
  4. Separate outer tie rod ends from steering knuckles using a ball joint separator or appropriate tool.
  5. Remove drag link/center link (if applicable) and unbolt the idler arm from the subframe or crossmember.
  6. Remove old ball joints, control arm bushings, tie rod ends, and any other supplied components following factory procedures. Press out ball joints if necessary.
  7. Clean mounting surfaces and frame areas; compare new parts to removed parts to confirm correct fitment.
  8. Install new idler arm and other kit components hand-tight, then torque all fasteners to factory specifications in the proper sequence.
  9. Reconnect tie rods and ball joints; install new cotter pins or retaining hardware where required and grease fittings if provided.
  10. Reinstall wheels, lower vehicle, torque lug nuts to spec, and perform a full front-end alignment at a qualified shop.
  11. Test drive slowly to verify steering response and listen for unusual noises; recheck fastener torque after initial break-in period.
