Inner tie rod end designed to restore precise steering and suspension geometry on 2002-2006 Acura RSX models. This direct-fit replacement secures the inner end of the steering linkage to the rack, helping maintain accurate toe alignment, reduce play, and improve steering feel. Constructed from durable materials with a sealed ball joint and corrosion-resistant finish, it provides long-lasting reliability for daily driving and restoration projects. Ideal for repairing worn steering components, preventing uneven tire wear, and returning your vehicle to factory steering performance.
Features:
  • Fitment: 2002-2006 Acura RSX (inner tie rod end, right and left hand applications)
  • Direct-fit replacement for the vehicle's inner tie rod end; restores factory steering geometry
  • Sealed ball joint design helps keep out contaminants and maintain smooth operation
  • Corrosion-resistant finish and robust construction for extended service life
  • Helps eliminate steering play, improve handling, and prevent premature tire wear
  • Easy-to-install design suitable for routine suspension/steering maintenance and restorations
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 45-90 minutes (per side)
Suggested Tools:
  • Jack and jack stands or vehicle lift
  • Wheel chocks
  • Torque wrench
  • Socket and ratchet set
  • Adjustable wrench or tie rod end wrench
  • Pliers
  • Hammer
  • Tie rod end removal tool / pickle fork (optional)
  • Measuring tape or caliper (for measuring turn count)
  • Alignment equipment or professional alignment service
Instructions:
  1. Park vehicle on a level surface, engage parking brake, and secure with wheel chocks.
  2. Raise the front of the vehicle and support with jack stands; remove the front wheel on the side you are servicing.
  3. Loosen the jam nut securing the outer tie rod to the inner tie rod (do not remove yet).
  4. Count and record the number of turns or measure the length of the exposed thread on the outer tie rod to preserve alignment on reassembly.
  5. Remove the cotter pin and unbolt the castle nut (if equipped) securing the outer tie rod end to the steering knuckle; separate the outer tie rod from the knuckle using a tie rod removal tool or pickle fork.
  6. Unscrew the outer tie rod from the inner tie rod and back off the jam nut to free the inner tie rod.
  7. Access the inner tie rod at the steering rack; remove any retaining clamps or boots that secure it. Use a suitable inner tie rod tool or wrench to unscrew and remove the inner tie rod from the rack.
  8. Compare the new inner tie rod to the old part to confirm correct orientation and thread pitch.
  9. Install the new inner tie rod by threading it onto the rack to the original position; tighten to the manufacturer's torque specification.
  10. Reinstall the steering rack boot and any retaining clamps; ensure the boot is seated to prevent contamination.
  11. Reattach the outer tie rod to the inner tie rod using the previously recorded turn count or thread measurement to maintain approximate alignment; tighten the jam nut.
  12. Reconnect the outer tie rod end to the steering knuckle and torque the nut to specification; insert a new cotter pin if applicable.
  13. Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque the wheel lug nuts to specification.
  14. Have a professional wheel alignment performed to restore precise steering geometry and toe settings.
